Well, the dictionary I consulted seems to be using something different
from Pinyin. Anyway, it wouldn't surprise me that "tsa" in Tagalog comes
from "cha" because the Chinese and the Philippines were active in trade in
times past (BTW, ts really is used to write out the sound /tS/. Chinese
Filipinos are referred to as "Tsinoy" (Chinoy, from Chinese + Pinoy).
