Dear Christophe, you forgot :
- filer à l'anglaise (to take French leave, according to my
dictionary);
- saoul comme un polonais (drunk like a Pole!) ;
- parler français comme une vache espagnole (speak french
like a spanish cow,
which might have been originally 'comme un basque
l'espagnol' :
like a Basque speaks spanish);
- marcher en file indienne (walk in a single file) ;
etc. etc.
