doesn't 'rzecz' mean 'thing/item' in polish...?
...nicole, who had a polish test today and thinks she did pretty good
(well? whatever...) on it except she couldn't remember the word for
'vacant' because on the vocabulary list she was given to memorize it
said 'free' (which is 'wolny' by the way and i would have known that)
and how is she supposed to remember english synonyms on a polish
vocabulary test!
