I don't remember that part. But it's been years since I read "L'histoire sans fin" (in French :) ). It's indeed "The Neverending Story" in English. The first movie adapted from it was extraordinarily good (I have it :) ) and is still my favourite movie (for reasons not really based on its merits, but on a special, nearly mystical link I have with the story, which is a bit too off-topic to talk about here :) ), the second was nice, but not special (its saving point being that it was still based on the book, somewhat) and the third movie was horrible. I won't say anything about the cartoon they tried to pull on us in order to stay polite ;) . Now I thought (wrongly it seems) that the original version was in English. There goes my hope of ever reading it in original version :(( . Christophe Grandsire. http://rainbow.conlang.free.fr You need a straight mind to invent a twisted conlang.
