Indeed, but it is one of those words I particularly like. When I worked in
Luxemburg, my best friend there (also Dutch) and I often spoke German because
our friends were German or Danish. We had great fun in literally translating
Dutch expressions into German (or English), including "Ameisenbumser". Only we
could understand what was funny about that.
BTW We also have the expression "op alle slakken zout leggen" (putting salt on
all snails), meaning: turning the smallest details into big problems.
