Ah, I get it now, I was too fogged by the original Welsh. Yes, "Stay here throughout the feast" (or even "until the end of the feast") would do fine. I had in my head "spend/consume ... and I'll go ..." where some such object as "the remainder, the remaining part" is understood, and thus "through(out)" wouldn't solve the problem e.g. "Make merry throughout ..." unless it could spawn an adverb. Cf. Welsh "trwodd" /'tru:-oD/. Keith
