Yep!

Yeah. In the good old days when we all were farmers the mid-day meal (middag) was at noon. And then "we" just had a light meal in the evening. Those habits seem to still be used in the country-side and in the south of Sweden. But for a stressed citizen/student of Stockholm, 'middag' is at 6-7pm. Although its literal meaning is 'mid-day' so it's pretty easy to see the etymology (tho no one notices its literal meaning anymore of course.) Daniel
