Just to be clear: Thunderbird is the mail client; Firebird is the
browser. Firebird is further along in its life cycle, a supported
product in its own right, and within a few revisions will become
the browser component of the full Mozilla suite. The goal is for
Thunderbird to likewise become the mail component, but it's young
yet, still a "project" rather than a "product", and undergoes rapid
revision churn.
