Thanx. Maybe I'm a little biased by the ex-Soviet linguistics models
subconsciencely moulded on Russian, because I still perceive /a/ as a
*middle*, not front vowel.

Even though I do not think I understand the question, I would reply "No". I
meant what I meant.
