I'm very pleased to report that my posh Old School decided, around
1970-something, that the sons and daughters of the Eastern Establishment
needed more active exposure to the Lively Arts.  So there are now  programs
in dance (and yes, boys participate), music,
painting/sculpture/ceramics/photography etc. etc. With amazing,
near-professional results.   Sure beats hockey and football, though they
still do those too..........

OTOH, everyone is very clothes-conscious-- which was true even in my day.
For teen-agers, some things are unchanging.
