Right. Just like many varieties of Spanish Hungarian has merged the
palatal lateral [l_j] with /j/. I suspect that original _Vj_ might still
be distinct from _Vly_ by the latter being more fricative. I guess And
will have to pay a visit to his folks to find out! ;-)
