I don't know as much about Linguistics and stuff as many of *you* do, but I'm sure it would have been interesting. But alone the flight over the pond and back is currently outside of my budget, and that won't change during the next years: as an apprentice you don't earn so very much.

Travelling inside of Europe by train is more affordable for me. I wouldn't be able to give a talk then for sure, but in case there will be such a European conference, I should think about attending as a visitor at least.
