After my debacle a couple of months ago trying to point out to another
budding auxlanger many of the same points you are trying to convey (what is
it with auxlangers and their singular inability to understand anything that
goes against their preconceived notions?), I came to the conclusion that I
might as well try to teach a pig to sing.
However, all was not in vain: the Enamyn word for "futile, obstinate
determination; ill-conceived plan", "arhlan" (/"ax.lan/) was birthed. Missle
defense programs also qualify as arhlan. No offense to the more congenial
auxlangers in our midst, mind you.
