I've never even heard that usage, actually. It does make some sense,
tho. Ah, well, there's a lot about English family terms that I don't
like, like the way that "uncle" and "aunt" can be used for parent's
sibling or parent's sibling's spouse. I've always felt that their
should be different terms, after all, your brother's wife isn't your
sister, but your sister-in-law, so why should your uncle's wife be the
same as aunt?
