Is it? I can name a few exceptions: * Compositions such as "honigbij "ijsvrij" (/EjsfREj/ an ortographically cool word in Dutch, since the "v" is pronounced voiceless here because of the preceding voiceless "s") "meelij" "wantij" "monnikspij" *A question word such as "waarbij?" Maarten
