No, I am not religious at all, but yet I am a warm supporter of the idea of
marriage. In my opinion it is NOT something that MUST be done for moral
reasons, I do NOT believe that married couples are better than unmarried
couples, and I most definitely do not agree with the dogma of no sex before
marriage. No, for me marriage is merely a romantic thing.
FWIW, I have always been in favour of opening marriage for gay couples,
although I don't think married couples of any kind ought to be privileged over
unmarried couples.
