AFMCL, the latest rev of "Dankaran"(*) has a single verb that might be
glossed as "ingest" (without the English connotation of "technical
term") or "absorb", used for food, drink, medicine, sunlight, etc.
It's also used with meal names, so it is the "have" in "have lunch",
the "take" in "take supper" (which I've only heard in English followed
by "with (someone)", curiously...).

(*) As a language identifier, "Dankaran" is approximately as precise
as "Chinese".... but my current project, the latest in a long line of
candidates for the Mandarin analog, is as yet unnamed, so...
