<PRE> is a wysiwyg command, meaning that all the characters line up
vertically, like in this email and are displayed where you type them.

If I used the <PRE> command on the above, the chapeaux would
all end up under the ells without any further messing about.
The font looks something like a typewriter's font. I used
this for part of one of my webpages where I didn't want to
mess about with formatting or tables.
Can hardly wait to actually see this gargantuan magnum opus!!
