Just as a potential observer, this would be my feeling too.

Again, as one who supposedly is developing languages/cultures on an alien
planet, I have to say it introduces many difficulties. By all means, lions,
tigers, lilies etc etc.rather than "a lion-like animal", a "lily-like
flower".
ObConlang: just today, preparatory to creating a recipe, I had to come up
with the Kash equivalent (more or less) of beef. Imagine my surprise, when
the animal and its meat turned out to be called _kawu_, pronounced [kaU].
