_Tsin_ implies some sort of (irresistible) outside pressure, _koi_ usually an internal need to do something - it is rarely used with inanimates (except for inanimates consisting of animates, like an organization). And example with _gez_ parallel to the two above would be _Ta rag gez_ "I ought to eat (because it would be good for [something])".
