Good point!
I also was going to use the "ugly monster" metaphor.
But, in light of the fact that this translation exercise
has prompted me to add to the lang a prefix signifying causation,
a negative universal imperative, and even a new
rate of change marker, let alone new vocab, I feel
rather good, so what the heck --- I'll do it from
both metaphorical points of view! :-)
In rtemmu:
( g~ = [N], r` = [R], o` = [O] )
[ monster metaphor] :
( Don't cause to be fed, "danger which is developing
in ugliness" [ ie "troll, the monster"]!)
g~amlyaubelgr`vukinhe nkr` ndononflo`xalna!
g~am-lyau-belgr`v-ukin-he nkr` ndonon-flo`xa-lna!
g~am- = negative
lyau- = universal imperative (ie not addressed to
a 2nd person, sing or plural, but to the
universe at large)
belgr`v- = cause to happen
(made by combining two instrumentals:
bel [done by tool] and gr`v [done by hand] )
nkr` = the following process (ndonon, in this case) is to be
understood, objectively and/or subjectively
under any and all rates of change
(| nkr` | is different from | wuh |, which signifies
an _unknown_ rate of change. Also new are:
| kr` | = any and all objective rates of change, and
| nr` | = any and all subjective rates of change )
ukin = the process of eating, thus | belgr`vukin |
means "the process of causing to eat,
the process of feeding something/someone"
-he = with respect to
ndonon = the process of danger
-flo`xa = developing in ugliness
-lna = one's true nature
---------------------------------------------
[fishing metaphor]:
Don't add fish to the net!
[If anybody's still with me ;-) ]:
g~amlyaubelgr`vvagavhe nr` gzago`gwuhbwuhb
auag r`let tikuhluh!
g~am-lyau-belgr`v-vagav-he nr` gzag-o`g-wuhbwuhb
auag r`let tikuh-luh!
Same vocab as above, except for:
nr` (Doing it in purely subjective mode. All
subsequent processes are here considered
to be changing with | nr` |, and so their
rate-of-change markers have been deleted.)
vagav = process of addition
gzag = process of being a group;
used in rtemmu to signify plurality
o`g = compounding particle
wuhbwuhb = process of being a fish
auag = asserts that what follows should cognitively
be joined with the previous
r`let = the process of being a net
tikuh = the process of being single, singular (ie "one" )
-luh = definite article ( ie "the"; in rtemmu,
articles are suffixed to numbers)

A word is an awesome thing.
