Trademarks can't be just descriptions: you wouldn't get far with a line
of "Blue Jeans" (tm) blue jeans, whereas "Blue Jeans" would be a
perfectly good trademark for CD's, for example.
"Loglan" was held to be a mere abbreviation for "logical language", a
purely descriptive term, and therefore not trademarkable by anybody.
We actually found a dictionary of acronyms and abbreviations that listed it.
There is also an unrelated programming language called Loglan '82.
