Ok, I came up with this system for Elenyo, and I was
wondering if anyone had a comparable system in their
own lang. This presumes knowledge of prague school
theme/rheme
Marker A - Introduces a piece of text in which the
first sentence is entirely rheme and is a new topic of
conversation entirelly, such as the 'ok' at the
beginning of this text :)
Marker B - Marks the end of the previous theme and
states that the following rheme will also be a new
topic of conversation.
Marker C - Comparative rheme - Introduces a new idea
with rheme that contrasts with the previous theme and
rheme. like english 'now on the other hand...'
Marker D - Complentative rheme - Introduces more
rheme, yet still on the same topic of conversation as
the previous theme. Like english 'furthermore,
moreover'
Marker E - Marks the end of ttheme and rheme based on
that topic of conversation. English equivalent 'full
stop.' or 'period' or 'kaput.'
Note that these terms arn't exclusively related to
theme/rheme but also to the less terminological 'topic
of conversation' idea.
