I think the whole sentance is based on the perspective of those speaking
it.
Since the English lingo of which it is in, is Human for now.
The old way of saying it, is still valid in ways, especially in the
bloppers when the Evil Kirk is seen going into Yeoman Rand quarters (g).

Actually, the second is more correct than the first. Man CAN mean "human", and the Enterprise certainly (sometimes) went where no HUMAN had gone before, but they've never gone where no ONE had gone before - after all, they were constantly running into other species who were there before them! :-) -- __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
