You can't know how strange that feels to me!!!!!!! Ty ben fasis, Padraic; dinoch passue, ys mosmordait im, e ... Amharccivi! I can't seem to find the words I need in Kernu (an excellent, well-thought out, and very worldly language for a remarkable alternate world) to do as well as you did in Teonaht. Does the adverb precede or follow the verb? Where do the conjugated prepositions go? I've looked through your Ill Bethisad site and can't find, due to blindness no doubt, the reference to the Kernu phrasebook you mention. SO, I've resorted to your 1999 grammar in my hands here and done the best I could. Look all is forgiven (what's the word "forgive" in Kernu?). I guess I'll need that glossary!

Well, nah, I didn't express myself well. And it come across a little snottily.

As you already put it so well in your book, parlar bech a til plu bhoun. Good advice. John C. has it down to an art. <G> For onlookers: Padraic has just issued an elegant apology in T. that has put me to shame. I can only say that I must provide a VERY good glossary/grammar on-line. :) It was weird having to read something of mine I hadn't written. I take back the farlarop. (Which means both 1) a hurled object, usually innocuous like a tomato, and 2) someone hit by said hurled object. Third meaning: farlarop: one who hurls a farlarop at a farlarop. Sort of like "what goes around comes around.") Parlar bech etc. means, in a VERY loose translation, something like "if talking has to be done, it's best to keep your teeth together as much as possible." <G> I'll remember that.
