In Sabasasaj, why not. "I am" is the easiest part: the empty root _0-pi_ has 'exist' as one of its basic meanings, and _ta_ 'person' works for the obligatory classificatory preverb. "Slurp". This thread has tipped me towards Sabasasaj not having 'slurp' lexicalised; instead there's 'drink' _hwa-ar_ with an ideophonic _hjuus hjuus_ [Cu:s Cu:s] thrown in (no final plosives, [-s] is the best I could do). To be properly grammatically integrated this wants 'say' _sit-pa_ stuck in as a serial verb, but that's omissible. "Therefore". One of the few basic adpositions, _din_ 'from', has the sense of 'because' when its argument is a VP. But 'because' won't do here, I feel, that reads too strongly "I exist _on account of_ my slurping" [1]. We want closer to 'consequently'. So there's _puwdiuu_ 'it follows, it is a consequence', which with right-dislocation of its argument has been reinterpreted as an adverb, but that's rather formal. Informally I figure "because X, I know Y" is a better pattern here. ('Know' is _thiuk-i_ 'learn' cast in the perfect.) So Hjuus hjuus (sidinda) hwanar din, tainbi i thiugin. [Cu:s Cu:s (sI'dind6) 'hp\an64 dIn, 't&inb(I) I 't_hiuJ\In] Hjuus hjuus (sidinda) hwanar gi, puwdiuu tainbi. [Cu:s Cu:s (sI'dind6) 'hp\an64 J\I, 'puBdIBU 't&inbI] 1.
