MUCH easier than the Flaubert..... Kash: vara tromat e ambinda, ta hanjayi (yu) haminja in order / find / def/ happiness/ not/ 2s-must /seek (it). Matches the sense of the original-- happiness will come when least expected. It even rhymes, and scans (if you illegally elide e_a..: va.ra.TRO.mat ya.MBI.nda, ta.ha.NJAY.(y)u.ha.MI.nja) Slight variant: (same first clause), ta hacayi (yu) haminja In order to find happiness, you don't have to look for it (i.e. it's all around you, or within you) Another variant, a construction (kendi....kendi) I've been puzzling over lately: kendi ta haminjato e ambinda, kendi yu hatromat 'If you will/do not search for happiness [ and you agree not to], then you will find it.' A condition or bargain that a Spirit might impose on you. _minja_ in the future tense; in the present it's just a statement of possibility, in the past, contrary-to-fact (the rather rueful "if you had not sought it [but you did] , you would have found it.") Finally a more generic and cryptic, traminja, tromatni 'not-seeking, finding'; vice-versa works too. Perhaps Yoda is a Kash (more likely a Gwr, from the looks of him)
