I remember when I first joined the list, people were working on some
kind of germanic language that I think was called Folkspraak. I seem to
remember some kind of argument dealing with how to represent the /S/
sound and what series of letters would be the most germanic. I think
people eventully gave up on it but I think Jeffery Henning has a link to
some information on Folkspraak at his site.
Another group conlang that I know of was started by Jim Grossman, Mark
Shoulson, Josh Brandt-Young, and myself at the first Pacific Northwest
Conlangcon about a year ago. We didn't talk about it much more at the
other conference I attended but I don't know if any of the others
discussed any other time. Actually I guess we did discuss it a little by
email afterwards. I worked on it a little by myself but I can't seem to
find any of my notes. Anyway, Mark was nice enough to to type up the
sketch of Pwpwpw (you'll have to got to the site to figure out how to
pronounce it.) that we made and I think the address is:
It did have some interesting features like its phonology (which I think
we changed a little after the conference), and other things like the
system of moods, and the distinction between theme and rheme.
