I agree completely. I'm willing to forgive pretty much any changes simply
because it's a bloody good film. It sometimes really irritates me the way
people get all sniffy about a film because it diverges slightly from a book.
Having said that, I think it could have been better if Faramir's character
had been left intact. I have found, however, that they have tended to take
some of Tolkien's words a little too literally, as seen in the 'exorcism'
scene, and the Galadriel scene in FOTR.
