Well, it is. It's just that people vary in how they decide to do this.
I, for one, am one of those who won't make up vocab ad hoc unless I have
my computer, vocabulary notes, and other tools handy. Part of the reason
for this is consistency--I don't want to recreate words that I forgot I
had, and if possible I want to make words from roots that are already in
Yivríndil. That's all. It's not amateurish at all to do it another
way--it's just a matter of choice.
