Jumping in Late - here are the cardinal numerals in Skuodian. Since it's
Slavic, it all goes from Proto-Slavic
1: (gender forms, naturally)
Masc. - jedinU > jeriino (I have decided that intervocalic _d_ in the
second sylable (i.e. right after the stress) yields _r_)
Fem. - jedna > jendaa (-dn- > -nd- is regular)
Neut. - *jedno > jenduo
2:
Masc. - *dUva > dovaa
Fem./Neut. - dUvê > dovie
3:
Masc. - *trije ( > triijie %-)) > trije
Fem./Neut. - tri > trii
4:
*c^etyri > t'ietiiri (t' = [t_j], strongly assibilated, a bit like the
Irish slender _t_ in those dialects where it is still not [tS])
5:
*pe~tE > piente
6:
*s^estE > sieste
7:
*sedmE > siende
8:
*osmE > uosme
9:
*deve~tE > dieviente
10:
*dese~tE > diesiente (this is, as in Proro-Sl., declined all three
numbers)
