I´ve noticed in certain places where Spanish words were adopted into the
local languages, ll keeps it´s /l_j/ sound. When i was doing my research
on Quechua (or was it Aymara) for a bit on Bolivia, one site said ll is
/l_j/ not /j/:
llama - /l_jama/
and, in Tagalog, Spanish words taken in with ll also used /l_j/:
kalye - street
BUT, it's also irregular:
kabayo - horse
