I haven't plugged in the vocab yet, but that almost exactly how Kash would have to do it, with the difference that the entire "heavy" Subject NP would have to be topicalized (diff.intonation) "The boy REL my daughter was later to befriend his mother | he-became.sick" that main verb would be _yayucangi_ [jaju'SaNgi] = ya- 3s + yu- 'inchoative vb. prefix' + cangi 'sick'-- it might even be better to use the full pronoun form, so _iya yucangi_ The intricacies of "was later to befriend" will require thought-- it probably will have to be: _(later on) (going to) (inchoative:become friend cukambra) (with) (his mother)_
