I absolutely MUST contribute my two cents to this thread!
Conlangs:
Nevokányi--Because it's mine, and it's my first, and I think my favorite
that I've made or sketched. Also because when I have (a) child(ren), I
want to speak it to them, I just think that would be so cool to have
native Nevokányi speakers, I don't even think I'd tell them that I'd
made it up until they were quite a bit older (and more fluent ;).
Valdyan--Because I think it's probably the prettiest sounding conlang,
especially when Irina sings in it!
Lojban--I just think it looks really really interesting.
Brithenig--Because I have a thing for Celtic (con)langs and with the
Romance mixed in, it's just that much better.
Natlangs:
French--I'm really close, and BTW Doug, I'm just starting L'Etranger and
I'm (surprisingly) getting the whole thing :)!
Swedish--I'm not sure why, but I think the orthography and the sound of
it are just great.
Japanese--It's the only language besides English that my boyfriend is
passable in and I am absolutely in love with code switching! (Now I can
only use the few Nevokányi phrases I've managed to teach him.)
Hungarian--I love agglutination and all those cases, I think they're
great, and Hungarian has really great orthography too.
Welsh--I think it's really great to see that many consonants (in English
at least) in a row! And it sounds really pretty, and things like
mutation seem kind of exotic to me.
And Latin, and Romanian, and Russian, and Mandarin, and, and, and...
