From which language did you choose the right hand side pronounciations? If it was non-rhotic English for instance, Robert -> dobet [dO.bEt] no? *Please* don't turn this into a YAEPT though... AFMCL, the problem is mostly in the vowels. From non-rhotic English to Taruven: Henrik -> henzik /'henzik/ Bjorn -> bja:n /bjA:n/ Arthaey Angosii -> a:Teì aqgasi: /'A:Tei) ANgA'si:/ Rachel -> reìtSel /rei)tSel/ Robert -> rabeth /'rAbet_h/ Roland -> ralan /'rAlAn/ Rudy -> rodi /'rudi/ or rode /'rude/ Lisa -> lisa /'lisa/ Other: John -> dZan /dZAn/ Jane -> dZeìn /dZei)n/ Ann(e) -> e:n /e:n/ Anna -> e:na /'e:nA/ Harry -> herri /'her:i/ or hevvi /'hev:i/ Alice -> elis /'elis/ English -> iqlyS /'iNlyS/ or iqleS /'iNleS/ Mary -> mevi /'mevi/ Alexander -> eliksende /elik'sender/ Alexander (posh brit) -> eliksa:nde /elik'sA:nde/ Taruven sure has a complicated orthography, huh :) The only names of the above that would be considered proper is Robert and Roland, as they fit into the standard CVCVC-template of boring, ordinary names. John and Jane might both be turned into |jehan|, |Sehan|, |Zehan| or |dZehan|, Ann and Anna into |e:neji|, Alexander into |kisan| or |sikan| or maybe |lessan|, Mary into |meviji|... t.
