Well, I think {chakram} (or {chakra}) was /c@kr@m/ (with a palatal stop), which
couldn't match with anything in Greek (or TV's English).  The author appears to
sidestep how he thought the Greeks pronounced it.  My guess is it would use a
/t/, because most of the things that correspond to palatalization in Greek seem
to produce /t/, such as the outcomes of *kwe- (> /te/), *kwi- (> /ti/), *pj- (>
/pt/)...
