The example you give seems to be the Ablative case, my conlang, and others, as well as some natural languages, use it. The other way to do it is to use prepositions, (like in English, "from", "by", "near", "over", "under") or postpositions. (the same, but they come after the word they modify, not before) Those two come to mind, although I wouldn't be suprised if someone else came up with a delightfully exotic system other than these two. -- Robert
