Indeed. I don't consider conjugations with auxiliaries to be "discontinuous 
verbs", because they are not one verb but two.

Indeed. English has thousands of particle verbs! It's just that in English 
the particle is *always* separated, in all forms. Still, they are particle 
verbs because you can't understand the meaning of the verb if you separate 
the particle from the verb. Examples of such verbs are "to take off", "to 
take down", "to pass by", "to point out", "to give in", "to carry out", 
etc... I believe you call them "phrasal verbs".
