I see no problem with vestiges of a gender
(or rather class-) system which has been lost
in pronouns.

What will you do if JRRT's actual notes on Drughu
show up? :) Rehash the proto-language?
BTW I strayed into your homepage and was
pleasantly surprised to see that the Rokbei
are a sea-faring people. Got the North Sea
(as well as the Pontic Steppe) in my blood, y'know!
