Vocabulary A pertaining to social behaviour and organization, psychology and
sensation is a limited number relatively to Vocabulary B pertaining to the
material world. When you work as a translator, you realize that very
quickly. For instance most of joyo kanjis pertaining to A are
self-explanatory no matter that they are usually paired into compounds. If
you break down these concepts into smaller parts, these smaller parts will
make little sense and zero help. You can make "joy" out of "feeling+sun" but
then you might as well consider this compound as a whole new word and what's
the use for breaking down? Underestimating thousands of years of collecting
and sifting basic vocabulary in natlangs: "Vanitas vanitatis!" :-) Likely,
keeping unbroken a concept C tightly combining A and B may help:
"piece+land+authority/possession" or the like for "territory" is cumbersome
and may be contended by other breaking-downs.
