So is that what "Fiat Lingua" means? I'm sorry, but I have never had a single lesson in Latin. I can only guess from my mediocre seven years of French. However, if it means "Let be language", then it would be certainly _Sira ramyu yomayam naranoin_, 'Let exist *language*'. I've sent you a picture of that, Sai. Unfortunately, I have no font for Tahano Nuhikamu, becuase it's too difficult. I hope technology is advanced enough to make one in, say, five or ten years. It should already be possible to make such a font using OpenType features and Unicode, but unfortunately most of what I need is not yet supported by most programs, let alone Windows itself (hope WinVista will improve that, but I bet it won't).

I am using Fontforge.* It's a Linux program, but it runs on Windows via Cygwin as well. It's a little complicated to set up Cygwin regarding which packages to download, and I have heard people complaining about that it has messed up their hard disk**, but once it and Autotrace runs, you can easily install Fontforge -- you need both FF and Autotrace specially compiled for Cygwin of course. Fontforge uses Autotrace to trace the outlines of bitmaps when importing them into FF: It's better to design a letter in a vector graphic program and save the contour as .BMP or the main path of the letter as .SVG or .EPS and import *that* into FF instead of directly trying to draw things in FF which may be a little complicated, at least I have found so. Carsten *) I haven't had any problems at all. Maybe it's just an issue related to older versions? **) Ban me if I should get too annoying with "advertisement" ... But hey, I like that program so I promote it ;-) -- "Miranayam kepauarà naranoaris." (Kalvin nay Hobbes) Pinena, Rayam 20, 2315 ya 07:49:21 pd
