LOL. A friend of mine was quite taken aback when a South American colleague excused being late for work by explaining, "I was stuck to the sheets".... Turned out, "pegado a las sábanas" simply means "I just didn't want to get out of bed." In Kash we have kratonjep 'doing boring, repetitious tasks; the daily grind, the rat-race', it's ultimately a calque on Span. "dar vueltas a la noria".
