Re: Nouns from Verbs

The most common ways of deriving nouns from verbs in Omeina are the
suffixes -ina and -ri:
-ina makes abstract nouns, and is very frequent in certain dative
constructions that are rendered in English by infinitives, while
-ri corresponds closely with the English agentive suffix as in farmer,
author, and so on. Verbal activity forms such as you cite are not that
common: one would say "He kicked my behind" rather than "He gave my behind a
kick".
