This I like. What kind of links are there in your language? Are there
lots of them? I might steal the idea, if you'll let me -- with
appropriate modifications of course.

Wouldn't there be a tendency over time for the [f] in nefnot to become
voiced, making nefnot and navnot sound similar? This could be a feature,
not a bug -- just as in English "cleave" means to stick together and to
rend apart at the same time. There might need to be some sort of
distinction in such a common word pair, though, as "soon" and "later."
But then, I don't know the phonology of your language, so maybe there's
some reason [f] would resist voicing (maybe [n] would become unvoiced . .
. I don't know enough about linguistics to say).
