Sometimes, one is stuck with using a Naos that was once used as as a
Protestant church building. One can either pay to have the floor leveled
(standing for a few hours on a slanted surface is very bad for ankles,
knees, etc.) or leave the pews in.
There is no specific Canonical prohibition against seating except during
specific parts of the Liturgy...
