Most possibly you're referring to me mentionig I was going to the University's Faculty of Philology. Here in Russia, Philology is Lang. & Lit., usually kept quite separate. Historical Studies (such as PIE) are the domain of Linguistics aka Yazykoznaniye exclusively. Oh well, perhaps I was speaking of a future degree in Philology for myself :-) --Pavel
