Christophe Grandsire scripsit:> > Basque also distinguishes dental /s[/ from alveolar /s/, > > I thought both s in Basque were alveolar, one being apical and the other > laminal? When I was taking a Basque course at the Uni, I got the impression that Basque /z/ was Russian /s/, and Basque /s/ was Spanish /s/, whatever their pinpoint is. And they clearly sound differently to my ear. Yitzik ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ At last I've managed to organize receiving my mail into two boxes simultaneously: at home and at the office, using mail client. It makes me more mobile for prompt replying under such time pressure I have. Browsing is time consuming.... I'm happy!
