I admit I took it from Old English. As for the spelling I use, it's the French
one. I do that only because I cannot remember the spelling of the English word
(I'm never sure how many |h|s it needs), which is so near to the French one
that it doesn't confuse anybody anyway. I prefer using consistently an
orthography which doesn't make problems to anyone although it's not English,
rather than wonder five minutes how I have to read that word each time I want
to write it down...

Of course not, but I was talking to the conlanger, not to the speakers of the
