China has five types of languages and each of them has dialects, but almost 1/4 population of entire people on the planet can read the same paper. Japanese language is totally different from Chinese, but since the ancestors borrowed Kanji characters, Japanese have learned a lot from Chinese writings. I learned Tai-Chi and Sword Tai-Chi from a 84 year old Kantonese teacher who spoke only Kantonese, and found out how Kanji worked well for the communication between us. Also I got shocked when I could understand the meaning of some 1500 year old Chinese calligraphy in spite of my ignorance of spoken Chinese. That gave me the inspiration of the Earth Language(EL). But I don't want to call EL Chinese, even if it's a visual based language. Because many of Chinese characters were made by their ancient cultures. eg: The Kanji of 'Character' was made combination of House and Child. They had a ritual when a baby was born, writing its name and reported to the house temple of their ancestors. That was the beginning of 'Character', they says. The structure combined traditional images is not good for a worldwide understandable visual basis. The EL bases are for common elements of human recognition in the earth emvironment. Kanji are formed combining parts from about 250, but impossible for type-combining. So the system needs thousands of fonts. EL uses only 89 including numeral, brackets, etc., and compound them mechanically. Also each bacis coresponds with the hand-sign and the one syllable name. So sign-comunications are available while speaking each native language. If necessary, vocal communication is not impossible also. The EL possibility is much larger than Kanji has. If someone could help to check the EL system from other angles, I would be happy. I already found many problems, and keeping repairing it now.
