    What is so wrong with long "a" being split into "a" and "aa"?  *  Or "s"

spelling reform concept to suggest this.
    BTW My favourite English spelling reform scheme is WES (World English
Spelling) [or WIS (Wurld Inglish Speling)] that is a Romanization based on
the ITA (International Teaching Alphabet) which in turn was adapted from the
IPA specifically to teach English.

    * okay, okay, I love the odd _aardvark_-ness of its visual, mnemonic
aesthetics
    ** I love the lettre z and its zibilant fricative zound to an
inordinately high degree (zo much zo, my long-time AOL chat friendz nicknamed
me "Z" ;)
